Main Bathroom Remodel

This bathroom remodel started in June of 2024 and finished in December 2024. As most projects start, you don't think it's going to take long. After all,,, it's a small space. But along the way, obsticals happen. Things as small as the shower drain to as big as the vanity and finding glass shower doors ww liked, took a long time. Also, going with the gold finish, was hard to find in this area. As you can see, this bathroom is small with a hug tub/shower unit. Before we started this project, we had to make a temporary shower in the basement so we could keep life resuming. After that got completed, we started ripping out the bathroom. To make this room feel bigger, I designed to have the ceiling cathedral up to the hall wall. It's amazing how much bigger this made the room feel. The puc lights were re-postitioned and a new ceiling fan was installed. The shower space was actually made a few inched bigger to accommodate plumbing and room inside the shower. This made the shelving area a wee bit smaller, but any storage you can have,, is a good thing. So the shelving stayed. The regualar bathroom doors were taken out and pocket door were planned for. This creates space by not having a 36" door infringing on the bathroom space when it's opened. This allowed having room to get to the shelving. The electrical for the pendant light had to be added and an outlet behind the mirror was added in case mood lighting wanted to be added to create a nice glow behind the mirror. The outlet was also moved to a lower spot. The painting and wallpapering went good,,, as usual. The shower area was attended to with planning the walls, plumbing and niche' and rebuilding the floor to accommodate the drain. Tiling is always a task but it got done and sealed. The fixtures for the shower were had to decide on and find. The drain cover never actually made is from Canada.. So we chose a different one. It seemed like forever to get the new LVP laid down, but it finally happened! Enough to make the room feel complete. But it wasn't... A search for the glass shower doors went on and on.. Finally, the search was over and within 2 weeks, they arrived at the house! No more plastic, temporary shower curtain! My vision for the bathroom came out spot on. Only the towel holder shelf was changed. When projects are over and you see and live the betterment of it all,,, you wonder why you didn't do it sooner! See the mood board AND the video at the end to see the final outcome! Looking to do a bathroom project? Give me a call. Sue - 585-297-6113.
